Mixed Animal Practice

Having the right ultrasound equipment for mixed animal practice is a challenge. The ReproScan LED allows your mixed practice to have a very portable ultrasound unit with 5 probes to chose from at a very affordable price. With ReproScan LED, you have the option of adding a 4.0 MHz convex rectal probe and ReproArm.

ReproScan LED for Mixed Animal Practice

For equine reproduction involving ovarian examinations and early pregnancy tests, use the 6.5 MHz linear rectal probe. The 4.0 MHz convex rectal probe may be used for pregnancy testing and the fetus may be visualized better with the large field of view from the 4.0 MHz probe.

For equine tendons, the 7.5 MHz L40 T handle probe is recommended.

For equine abdominal examinations, use the 3.5 MHz C60 T handle probe.

For bovine reproduction, the 6.5 MHz linear rectal probe is used for early pregnancy testing and ovarian exams. The 4.0 MHz convex rectal probe is excellent and the LED and 4.0 probe can be configured with the ReproArm and OJO Goggles or Bright LCD Monitor for extension arm pregnancy testing.

For bovine abdominal examinations, use the 3.5 MHz C60 T handle probe.

For small animal examinations, the 6.5 MHz C20 is the most commonly used probe. The 3.5 MHz C60 T handle probe may be used for large dogs and the 7.5 MHz L40 T handle probe is recommended for very small dogs and cats.

Pregnancy testing sheep and goats is usually done with the 3.5 MHz C60 T handle probe. The 4.0 MHz convex rectal probe may be used for these pregnancy tests.

For pregnancy testing sows, the 3.5 MHz C60 T handle probe works very well. The 4.0 MHz convex rectal probe may be used for these pregnancy tests.
