Equipment Charging Best Practices

FAQ: How Do I Charge My Equipment?

If you purchased an ultrasound and a monitor, each piece of equipment must be charged separately. These are two separate devices, and both require charging.

To keep things simple, both the monitor and the ultrasound use the same ReproScan charger, so ReproScan chargers are interchangeable between devices.

⚠️ Important: DO NOT use a charger other than a ReproScan charger. Using a non-ReproScan charger can permanently damage your equipment.

We recommend charging your equipment overnight and unplugging it in the morning. If you do not plan to use your monitor for an extended period, be sure to turn off the hard shut-off switch. Touchscreen monitors draw power even when not actively in use, and shutting it off helps preserve battery life during storage.

Charging Steps

  1. Use a ReproScan charger only.
  2. Confirm the indicator light on the charger is on.
  3. If using power that may fluctuate, use a surge protector as a best practice.
  4. Plug in the monitor (charging port located on the back).
  5. Plug in the ultrasound unit.
  6. If storing the ultrasound in the back pocket of the monitor bag, ensure the heat plate is facing outward. The ultrasound requires airflow to stay cool during charging.
