Remember preg checking season is just around the corner. Did you have a loose cable last year, a battery that no longer lasts as long as it once did, or missing flaps? Now is a great time to send it in before preg season gets rolling. Did you know that one of the best ways to ensure the longevity of your machine is to send it in every 2-3 years for a service check? We highly recommend this service, as you can easily save in repair bills by simply sending in your unit to do preventative maintenance!
Once your equipment is in our repair facility, our technicians carefully look over all aspects of your machine. We check your unit for cracks in the casing and ensure that there is no moisture inside your ultrasound. We also check all of your ports, replace missing port covers, and replace seals. One of the most important parts of the service check is ensuring that your equipment doesn’t have any probe pulls or dropouts in your image, which can cause further damage later on. Additionally, we remove existing corrosion on the mainboard and check the longevity of your battery.
We recommend doing a service check in your off-season so that when you pull it out to use it, it’s in tip-top shape and ready to roll. Whether you’re checking 20 mares in February and need to send in your unit in August or are scanning thousands of beef cows from August through December and need your service check done in May, we are ready to get your equipment in!
We charge an hourly rate for our service checks, and we try to be very thorough, so that we don’t miss a problem that could cost you an expensive repair later on. Our average service check, with no major issues such as a probe pull, costs around $300.
We recommend doing your service check in your slow season for ultrasound work, but we understand that for some of you that never stops! Once your equipment is shipped and arrives at our repair facility, on average, it will be there for 1-3 days, barring any major issues.
Give us a call at 877-890-2411 to get your service check scheduled today! We recommend sending in both your ultrasound unit and viewing device, either goggles or your monitor so that your entire setup is ready to be pulled out of the case and be put to work.
